Ridin' the Back Roads.....

Happy Sunday afternoon everyone.  It's Pod here, and I'm doing the blogging today.  I just wanted to wrap-up our gang's Beach Blast 2015 for everyone.

Truck was hitched up, my tanks drained, and all the other things needing done for departure and we were on our way by 8 a.m.

Seems Mr. R decided since we leaving so early on a Sunday morning,  we should have a little back road adventure.  You see, Mr. R prefers to take secondary roads over interstate highways when we can.  Since we were in no particular hurry to get home, we scooted across Charleston on very nearly empty surface streets.

Mr. R even missed one turn and we just did a great big old u'ie and got back on track.  Our goal was to jump on Hwy 52 which will bring us almost all the way home.  We went through towns with names like, Society Hill, Goose Creek, Kingstree, Morven, and Coward to name just a few.

Mileage wise, there isn't really any difference, but it does take about an hour or so longer to go this way.  The bonuses were we had very light traffic all day and the scenery was great.

It was a great day for a drive.  We stopped once to fuel up Truck, and once at the Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge for a comfort stop and so Mrs. T could fix a few sandwiches.

So for the last seven nights I've been a home away from home for,
Mr. R & Mrs. T while they enjoyed their adventures.  I've kept Jackson safe whenever they needed to leave him behind. Also, Truck has safely taken us all wherever we needed or wanted to go without any complaint what so ever.

We were home, I was safely backed in my Pod-port, some unloading done, and laundry going by 2 p.m.

Thanks for following along with the gang on Beach Blast 2015.  To find out about our next trip, be sure to click on the 2015 Trips tab at the top of the page.

Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,&J.
