Oh Noooooo........

Where did summer go??  Yup, that's right.  This is the last day of the 2014 summer break.  Tomorrow morning bright and early the alarm clock is going to ring in our household and officially kick off the 2014-2015 school year.

It will be sad kitty for sure......

And we won't be amused.....

So for all of our teacher friends, ex-teacher friends, and friends in general, if you don't hear from us in the next few days, send cookies!

Until next time, stay safe out there......-R,T,&J.

Picture Book......

Happy Tuesday afternoon everyone.  While on our mountain adventure the other week.  One of our stops on the Blue Ridge Parkway was Craggy Gardens.

Along with purchasing some sticker's, Rob also got a coupon to create a free photo book from Shutterfly.

Through the magic that is modern computing if you click right HERE, you too can read this photo book.  We sure hope you enjoy it as much as we were enjoying our lunch at Beech Fork State Park the other day.....

It's Ice-Cream-Thirty at Beach Fork State Park.....

Yes that's right, it's a beautiful evening and it's Ice-Cream-Thirty here at Beech Fork State Park.

Happy Saturday Evening everyone.  We're setting here at the camp store reading about our podding friends arriving home this afternoon/evening from the 2014 F.R.O.G. Rally in Goshen.  We elected to make a weekend stop over and will be pulling out early in the morning for the last 300 miles.

After a quick breakfast and getting ourselves together this morning, we made a quick trip over to Wayne, WV for a few supplies at Wal-Mart and to fuel Truck.

Here are a few pictures from around the Park today.......

By the way, Trisha's Ice Cream was "Nuts About Buckeyes," while Rob will go with what he says is the perfect flavor, "Chocolate."

Until next time stay safe out there.....-R,T, & J.

On The Road (again).......

With apologies to Willie, Happy Friday evening everyone from Beech Fork State Park just outside of Huntington, WV.

We along with Mary and Tank pulled out of the Elkhart County Fairgrounds about 8:15 this morning.  A short (yeah right) 380 miles later, we arrived here.  We had a great day for travel.  Even the traffic in Dayton, Ohio wasn't bad at all.  But Rob did look in his side mirror just in time to see the trim ring from one of the fender lights bounce off in the construction zone in Dayton.

We stopped in St. Mary's, Ohio for a sammich stop, made two other comfort stops and three fuel stops.  Rob makes this many stops so we can all stretch our legs on these long travel days.

Here's a picture of our sammich stop....

Here at Beech Fork, we have a full hook-up site.  It's paved, very level, and all the hook-ups worked just like they should.  We fixed a baked pasta dish for dinner using some of our cheese we bought at the cheese factory.  Now we're going to just settle in for the evening to enjoy the peace and quite.

This really is a nice facility.  We're planning on pulling out from here on Sunday morning early.  There is no cell phone (Verizon) service here but that's o.k. too!!

Here's a few pictures of our site.....

Check back tomorrow to see what all our Saturday may bring.

Until next time, stay safe out there......-R,T, & J.

It's Thursday So We Must Be at Goshen.....

Happy Thursday evening everyone.  We've been on the road a week, so we're pulling out in the morning to begin our trip back to North Carolina.  The plan is to drive about 380 miles to Beech Fork State Park in the Huntington, WV area for the weekend arriving in Landis on Sunday.

Today was another busy, fun day for us.  We went out for breakfast, then to a cheese factory.  We only bought $44.00 worth of cheese!  Then it was back to the Fairgrounds where Mark and Rob installed a new set of double stairs on Pod.

Of course, supper was at Culver's, which has become Trisha's newest favorite restaurant.  After supper, we mostly broke down our campsite prepping for an early departure.  Then afterwards, we took our chairs and sat around with all our Podding friends.

A few Podders left today, some more are leaving tomorrow, then the rest are leaving on Saturday.

We didn't take a lot of pictures today, but here are a few for you to enjoy.

Well that's it for today.  We're off to bed soon since tomorrow is a travel day.  This is our last post from the 2014 F.R.O.G Rally at Goshen.

Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T, & J.

What a Wednesday at Goshen.....

Happy Wednesday everyone.  What a Wednesday this has been.  We were off to a later than normal start due to our staying up late last night and visiting with some company we had.

One of the neat things Forest River provides for this rally is one free pump-out of your tanks on Wednesday.  If we were to pay for this service it would cost us $25.00 per pump-out.

Anyway, right after breakfast, Coach and Mark got right to work pumping out all of the podder's tanks.....

Well not really, but the two guys who were really doing the work didn't waste any time, even when Tank decided to help.....

Later in the morning, the elusive miniature, furry white moose was spotted...

Before we knew it, lunchtime had rolled around.  Today we took the left over Boston Butt and cole slaw Rob fixed for the Pod-Luck yesterday and made sandwiches.  Add to that Mary's Broccoli, Bacon salad and Susie's Wheat Berry Salad, and we had a lunch fit for Podders at the very least!

After lunch we watched a pod get a new axle....

Then we went to have ice cream courtesy of Frog Bob.  We had to hide out in the dining hall during a little rain shower but that was fine too.

At this point we decided to go the the RV Hall of Fame so Mary a Podder friend who wasn't here last year could see it, Culver's for dinner, and Wal-Mart for a few supplies.

We did the RV Hall of Fame last year, so we'll post a few pictures but not too many so as to not give it all away.

You may also notice a few pictures of Baby Squirrel, a.k.a. Darryl.  He is yet another Podding squirrel along for some fun today.

That about sums up our day here at the 2014 F.R.O.G. Rally.  We have to say, what a Wendesday here at Goshen!!

Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T, & J.

A Podderiffic Pod-Luck.....

This year's 2014 F.R.O.G. Pod-Luck is in the books.  The food was awesome, the fellowship was outstanding, and the entertainment (Travis M.) was off the chain.  Thanks to everyone for all they did to bring this party together.

We'd all also like to think Forest River for the awesome door prizes.  The whole crew at Forest River is just wonderful.  So no more words but lots more pictures.

Enjoy......

Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T, & J.
