We actually left the house about 6:15 this morning, stopped at the local cafe for breakfast before actually heading out. This morning was rainy and dreary for about the first 100 miles or so....then as we crossed over the Tennessee State Line, the sun came out and it was a beautiful day for travel.
Here's a couple pictures from our first comfort stop of the day....
It was only a few short hours (well about 9.5 hours) from the time we pulled out of the restaurant parking lot till the time we pulled in Mark and Susie's driveway.
Of course as we were all getting out of the truck, saying our hellos, etc., P. Nutty just had to hop out and see what's going on....
After visiting awhile, we loaded up in Mark's vehicle, picked up Mary (another podder) and headed out for supper at Firehouse Subs. Then a quick stop by Kroger for a few essential supplies like Rocky Road and Chocolate Ice Cream and it was back home for the evening.
We're not really sure what the plan is for tomorrow, but it's sure to be fun. Be sure to check back to read all about it.
