Meanwhile, Staying at Home with the Peeps........

Happy Sunday morning everyone.  Its Miss Anne here blogging to you from my home, the Anne-Port down in the back yard.  The Mr. is listening to RHC church on Facebook Live, and the Mrs. is taking a nap.

Yes, a nap on Sunday morning.  Its ok though, she was up late last night.  You see her dad had to be taken to the hospital for a health issue.  He was checked out, given meds, etc., and send home to the assisted living facility where he now lives.  The Mrs. finally got to bed about one-ish this morning.  While she didn't actually go to the hospital, she was in constant contact via phone.

I've been keeping myself safe at home, socially distancing and snoozing, etc., getting ready for my RHC days once again.  While the Mr. can take me up, at this point in time, he has to take everything he will need with him.  You see, while we are welcome in the campground itself, the site-holders have been asked to stay in the campground and not be out and about in the community just yet.  This all means, we've made no firm plans yet for my return to RHC.

Ok, so that's all the so-so news and updates.  Now to the fun stuff.  You know, the latest MODS!!!  Seems the Mr. and Mrs. have been eyeing the folding steps on Mark and Susie's Furpod2.  So after talking camping friend Jon into buying them for his Surveyor, the Mr. just had to buy me a set also.

Sure enough, on this past Friday afternoon late, the steps arrived, and in about an hour and a half, my old steps were removed, the new steps unboxed and installed, and everything put away.   Here's some pictures of all the fun....

To briefly explain, I did have two sets of entry steps onboard.  The Mr. had installed a set of MORryde brand steps that folded into my doorway.  They were ok, but had their disadvantages.  He had never removed my factory folding steps, just incase they were needed.

With both set of steps removed, he unboxed the new TorkLift steps, using Double AA as a work area, and in short order had my new steps installed.

Lastly, you can see a few pictures of them folded for travel and storage, and deployed for use.  I think everyone is going to like my new steps.  I'm sure glad not to have those other folding steps rattling around inside me when we're traveling, not to mention the dirt and debris that fell off of them when stowed.

Well that's about it for today!!  Keep safe everyone as best you can and....

Until next time, stay safe out there......R,     T,      &       J.

If You're Not Camping.....

You should be at least thinking about camping, and if you're thinking about camping, you should really, really be thinking about camping "mods," "hacks," "gear," and/or "destinations."

At least that is what Mr. R says.  Hi there everyone, it's Miss Anne and finally with Mr. R's help I'm back on the computer and blogging.   I know I've been away a good while, but the last year or so has really been a blur for the Mr. and the Mrs.

I've had an awesome summer home for the last two summers up at "The Holler" and I'm looking forward to and even funner summer this season as we have a spot right beside Cousin Sharon and Miss Mollie.  OH BOY!!!!!

In the past year and a half since my last blog post, in addition to the Holler, I've been to Huntington Beach State Park, SC twice.  In fact this past Christmas was a two week stay!!  I've also been the OBX twice, but unfortunately, the trip this summer had to be cut short due to the Mr's mom taking seriously ill.

This past August, the Mr flew out to Seattle, WA for his mom's memorial service, and visit with family.  He was really excited to get to meet the new members of the family, especially Owen, his great nephew.

Following this closely was the need for the Mrs to put her dad in the hospital, followed by a rehab stay, and moving into an assisted living facility.  Followed by yet another hospital, rehab, and return to assisted living cycle.  During this time, the Mrs was able to move back home.  The Mr. and Mrs. are now just looking after her dad's place until it is deemed ready to be sold.

But, the biggest news of all for the Mr. and Mrs. is after 33 years in the classroom, the Mrs's retirement plans for May of this year!! Woot! Woot!

Well now, that basically catches everyone up.  So on with the purpose of this blog post.  You see, the Mr. (who is know to be afflicted with "tinkeritis") came across a mod/upgrade he wanted to make for me, and in short order a big box from "The 'Zon" was delivered to our front door.  Inside was a stylish swing top coffee table just for me.

So, with help from "The Double AA," the Mr. got the box moved to the back where I live and in fact used the tail gate of Double AA as a work bench to help with assembly.  He told me it was a lot like inserting Flap A into Slot B.  The instructions were clear enough, all the parts were there, and in about an hour, with a bit of help from the Mrs., I had my spiffy new piece of furniture.

The Mr. has the area for my new coffee table all vacuumed and ready.

Double AA helped the Mr. transport the boxed coffee table from the front porch to the back drive where I live.

Let the fun begin!!!!
My spiffy new coffee table!!!

The top raised to be used at a work station, eating area, etc.

So, there you have it.  My latest mod/upgrade of the 2020 camping season.  I won't say it's my first, because while I was at the coast this past Christmas, the Mr. upgraded my rearview camera system.  I'm excited about this upcoming camping season, as the Mr. and Mrs. have several trips plus a season at the Holler already planned.

As alway, thanks for dropping by today and of course......

Until next time, stay safe out there......-R,T,&J.
