Miss Anne's First New Year and Other Stuff......

Happy New Year's Eve everyone.  It's Miss Anne here blogging one last time in 2017.   I just wanted to let everyone know we all got home safely from my first trip to the beach. Also, this is my first New Year's Eve ever!!   All of my linens have been taken in to be washed, my floors and carpets all vacuumed, and all the perishable food items taken in the house for the winter.

Mr. R wanted me to pass along a few end of season items to all of our readers, so here goes:

--Total Nights Camped:  28

--Nights Camped (Pod): 12

--Nights Camped (ME): 16

Now Mr. R says this number is down from the past few years, mainly due to elderly parent issues, but he says that's ok.

--Wi-fi repeater:  Mr. R reports this system worked well.  (link)

--Fire Stick TV:  I got this at the beach this past week, and it worked great too!!

Upgrades/Mod planned for 2018:  That's a secret!!!

Ok, back to the beach trip.  The Mr. and Mrs. were there with friends of theirs (Mr. Mark and Mrs. Sue) from Kentucky.  Micah their doggie was along for the adventure too!!

Mr. R told me they didn't do a lot, just things like cook, eat, go looking at other campgrounds, buy more stickers, seems they went to Camping World almost every day except Christmas Day, buy t-shirts, a few more stickers, and well you get the idea.  Oh, and Mr. R gave Mrs. S a soap making lesson, then Mrs. S made her very own batch of peppermint soap!!

Mr. R and Mr. M did a lot of planning for future trips, mostly logistical stuff, and some equipment discussions and looking too.

In fact, as of right now, these are the trips on the books for 2018....

--Tink's Spring Fling (April)

--Huntington Beach State Park (June)

--Raccoon Holler Campground (The entire month of July.)

--Hatteras Sands Campground (August)

--Huntington Beach State Park (December)

There are sure to be more, quick weekend get-aways, but those aren't even thought about yet.  Haha

To wrap things up, we all want to wish everyone a safe, happy, and healthy New Year.  If 2017 wasn't so good for you, when our prayer will be that 2018 is better.  If 2017 was good for you, same prayer.

Here are an assortment of pictures from our week at the beach.  Like the trip, there's no particular plan or order to them.  Haha

Happy New Years and until next time, stay safe out there......Miss Anne and Crew

So.....This Is The Beach.....

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!!!  This is Miss Anne and I am finally blogging to you from the beach.   OH WOW!!!

Let me back up just a bit to begin this story.  Ever since I came to live with the Mr. and Mrs., they've been telling me all about the beach.  If you remember, I thought we were going back in July, but turns out they had to cancel that trip so we went to my favorite mountain campground ever, Raccoon Holler.  Now for those of you that are counting, it is the only mountain campground I've ever been to, but it is still my fav.

Over the last few weeks, the Mr. and Mrs. have slowly getting me prepped to spend their Christmas break at the beach, Huntington Beach State Park, in Murrells Inlet, SC to be exact.  We left home about 8:30 Saturday morning, arriving here about 1:00.  It was a great drive with what Mr. R said was the normal amount of traffic.  We left home to a few scattered showers, but arrived at the beach to a warm, bright, sun shiny day.

About two hours later, friends Mark and Sue arrived from way out in Kentucky.  We're camped beside each other for the entire week.  From what I can overhear, cooking, eating, shopping, sight-seeing, and resting is the order of the week.  I think the Mr. might even be having a soap making class for Sue.

Today (Sunday) has been overcast and damp, with a shower or two, but that hasn't stopped anyone from having a great day.  Here are a few pictures from the last two days I snitched for you from the Mr.'s iPhone.

As you can see, I've even had my sticker collection (and the Mr.'s) added to.

Well that's about it for this post.  From our family to yours, we all want to wish everyone Merry Christmas and a most joyous Holiday Season.

Until next time, state safe out there.....Miss Anne and Crew
