I Drove How Far?????

Good Wednesday afternoon everyone.  It's just Rob blogging today.  I wanted to "wrap-up" this year's ERU with a few facts.  We got back home about noon.  At this point in the day, Levi has been unloaded and cleaned up, Pod has been mostly unloaded and washed,  and the laundry is all caught up.

I've sorted the mail, balanced the checkbook, paid a bill, and about all that is left is to unpack.  I think that will be for another day.

I just wanted to pass on a few bits of info about our trip to the ERU in Traverse City, MI this year.

Nights Camped:  11
Number of different Campgrounds:  4
States Traveled in:  5
Miles I drove:  2,191.3  (really?)
Gallons of Gasoline:  197.46
Average MPG:  11.1  (this sounds low, but most of the miles were towing pod, and with Truck the average for the last trip to Goshen was 9.35 so this is a great improvement.)
Highest Fuel price:  $2.699/gallon
Lowest Fuel price:   $2.099/gallon (at home when I filled up Levi today, go figure)
Bottles of Bourbon bought:  None (Mark took care of all that)
T-Shirts bought:  4
Hats bought:  1
Stickers bought:  Just why exactly do you need to know this? I do NOT have a sticker problem!
Trips to Culvers:  3
Number of Pictures taken:  Over 400
Movies watched: 1 (The Princess Bride)
Miles followed by tink'r-pod:  A whole bunch!
Nights camping I didn't unhitch Pod from Levi:  4

Add to this sitting in a new screen room called the Clam 9281 (thanks furpod), using the new pole awning I made for Pod, and loading up six adults into Levi and setting out for the hardware store only to return hours later,  it's easy to see why we had a fun trip and also why we're worn out this afternoon.

Thanks for checking by today.  I'll leave you with one last picture, well ok then, two....

Until next time, stay safe out there......-Rob (for the whole gang!)

A New Awning For Me......

Happy Tuesday afternoon all.  It's Pod back blogging today.  We've had another long travel day (340 or so miles).  Which included driving through both Dayton and Cincinnati which I have to tell you wasn't that much fun.  This afternoon we're camped lakeside at Cove Lake State Park in Caryville, TN.  Tink followed us again today and we waved good bye as we took our exit.  She only had about 50 miles farther to travel to get home.  As of this blogging, she has reported arriving home safely.

Tomorrow is a shorter travel day, only 260 or so miles.  Rob would have pushed on and tried to make it home, but he said his back was hurting him for some reason.

We've had two big events happen during today's travel.  The first is I got to try my new tent pole awning.  I have to say I really like it.  Rob needs to make a couple of tweaks and I think it will be a keeper.  It took just minutes to erect, and we all already think we like it better than my Visor.

The second is Levi's odometer registered 10,000.0 miles just before we arrived at Cove Lake State Park.

It rained a little shower right after we got all set-up, and right now the humidity is through the roof.  If it cools off later, Rob said he may walk around and take a few pictures.  This seems to be a really nice state park.

Today was just a quick set up, not even un-hitching from Levi.  In the morning we'll blast off early again, draining my tanks at the dump station one last time, then it's on to my very own Pod-port.

This trip has been a blast, and I've loved blogging all about it too!!

Until next time, stay safe out there......-Pod and all the Gang!!

If Today's Monday, Then This Must Be Ohio.....

Good Monday evening all!!  It's Pod here once again blogging out to everyone.

So let me catch y'all up.  The last few days have been a blur, in fact I had to ask Levi just now, where we are.  So let me think........I'm going to start with Saturday morning after my last blog post.

Seems that Rob didn't really take many pictures on Saturday or Sunday. I thought that maybe he was too busy to take pictures, but as it turned out, Levi told me that he simply forgot his camera when the gang struck out to the trailer supply store to get supplies to fix The Coffee Cup (Cousin Sharon's other camper!)

After a wonderful breakfast of sausage gravy (thanks Sue!), whop biscuits, and Rob's fried eggs on Saturday morning, Rob looked online and found a nice trailer supply store close by.   He texted Mark, to see if he wanted to go, and before all the texting was over, Tink, Mary, Sue, Trisha, Mark, and Rob were loaded in Levi to run to the trailer supply store.   Several hours later, after stopping by a distillery for a bourbon sampling, going downtown to a kitchen supply store, and a great t-shirt and sticker store, the gang all had lunch.  Meanwhile, Levi was safely parallel parked in the shade in a handicapped parking place.  Not to worry, Levi is correctly placarded to use such a space.

Then it was back to the campground so Rob and Mark could cook a couple of Camping Dutch Oven Dishes for the Pod-Luck on Saturday evening.  Mark fixed pork ribs and Rob fixed his Cousin Sharon's rice casserole.  The food must have been good because there wasn't any left over.

After eating supper, the gang all loaded back up in Levi to go to an outdoors type store where Rob and Trisha both bought sandals.

Sunday was a lazy, take down camp, eat lunch at Culvers, after eating a breakfast of Tink's Breakfast Treats, Tink's peppered bacon, and Mark's scrambled eggs.  (I'm telling you, these people do know how to eat!!)

As I said above, Rob didn't take many pictures the last two days, so I'll close with a random assortment of pictures from our trip.

Well it's trying to work up a thunderstorm here, so I'm gonna hunker down till it passes.

Until next time, stay safe out there......-Pod and the Gang!!

Catching Up at the ERU......

Happy early Saturday morning all.  It's Pod here once again taking over the blogging duties.  I spent last evening talking with Levi and catching up on all that Rob and Trisha have been up to the last couple of days.  It seems they've been too busy having fun to even think about blogging.  I think I have it all straight, so here goes.

The 2016 ERU (Eastern Round-Up) officially kicked-off on Thursday with the hot dog supper.  Everyone had a great time, with lots of yummy food, and even a bunch of door prizes.  I even got new keyed alike (but not keyed like every other camper) locks for my cargo hatch doors.  The best part is they were FREE!! Thanks to Mr. Bruce, the owner of Bauer Products.  Just click on the linky thing and you will find out all about them.

Thursday was a mostly a "down" day for the gang.  I think they all needed a day to just be lazy, nap, talk and what-not.  Mr. Mark and Mr. Rob took off to run a couple of errands, became "locationally challenged" for a minute, but arrived back here in plenty of time for the hot dog supper.

Friday the whole gang, Tink, Tank's Mom, furpod people and the Mr. and Mrs. all loaded up in Levi, had breakfast out, and went to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.  They had a blast, and of course Levi got to see all the sights too!

Friday evening was supper at Culver's, a favorite of Trisha's, then the gang all just rode around the Traverse City downtown area.  Levi told me they even hit a store where t-shirts, stickers, hats, and even a couple toy pigs were bought.  I'm not sure about the pig toys, cause Levi didn't know to much about that either.  I'll try to find out more and let you know.  I do know it had something to do with some moose's...

And speaking of stickers, Levi told me there are at least a dozen new stickers in his glove compartment from the last few days here in T.C.

This should catch everyone up to this morning.  I think I hear people and dogs moving about and even breakfast plans being discussed.  So I'd better send you some pictures and get off this computer before Mr. R catches me.

That's about it for today.  I'm sure the whole gang will be up to lots of fun things today and I'll be sure to snitch the computer to let you know all about it too.  The 2016 ERU is officially over on Sunday, and we'll be starting the long trek (about 980 miles) back to North Carolina soon atferwards.

Until next time, stay safe out there......-Pod and all the gang!!

Where's Wednesday.....

Good Thursday morning all.  It's Pod back today with the blogging duties.  We've decided we need a time machine, so we can go back at do Wednesday all over again.  No because Wednesday was bad, oh no, Wednesday was fabulous, and went by so fast, we just didn't have enough time to get everything done.

The gang's day revolved around food.  This included planning the next two meals while eating the current one, stopping by the grocery store to get food to cook, cooking food, and even wondering why Tink wouldn't cook meatballs and noodles, chicken wings, and french fries for dinner.

The day wasn't all about food.  Mark, Jackson, and Rob even worked on tink'r-pod.  Seems her inverter had an unfortunate incident during a recent camping trip and was messed up.  Mark happened to have the part she needed and in about 20 minutes this morning they installed it.  Tink'r-pod was told me she was really happy to have this fixed.  They also fixed a leaking sink drain, so life in tink'r-pod is good!!

The 2016 Eastern Round-up or ERU officially starts today.  Rob promises to walk around at some point and take pictures of the pods.

So while weather wasn't picture perfect, and Rob didn't take many pictures, the weather wasn't so bad either.  Here are a few pictures from our day.  I hope you enjoy seeing them.

That's about it for this morning.  The rumor is Mark is fixing CDO french toast, and Rob is cooking square sausage later.  I'm sure there will be pictures.  Thanks for checking by today.  Be sure to drop back by on to see how our day goes.

Until next time, stay safe out there......-Pod and all the Gang at the 2016 ERU.

Ice Cream, Stickers, and T-Shirts, Oh My......

Happy Tuesday evening all.  It's Pod here blogging tonight.  Todays' post will be short, but our day has been busy.  It's included three great things, ice cream, stickers, and t-shirts.  Not to mention, food, a bourbon tasting, talking, visiting, riding around, and laughing way, way too much.

Here's a few pictures of our day today......

Really we had too much fun today, but don't tell anyone cause we plan on doing it all over again tomorrow.

Until next time, stay safe out there.....-Pod and all the gang at the ERU!!
