Heading for the Holler......

Good Friday evening everyone.  We're camping at Raccoon Holler Campground in Glendale Springs, NC for rest of the week.  We left home a little before 11 this morning, making one comfort stop and one stop for lunch, before arriving here a little after one this afternoon.  

We're camping this week with Cousin Sharon and SplashT@B.  We're in site #125 and they are right next door in site #123.  Pretty neat huh?

Now we know it looks like Cousin Sharon got confused and thought we were going to the beach and not the mountains camping, but the beach umbrella looks way cool.  

At any rate it took an hour or so to set up camp.  We set up the r-dome as well as the Cottonwood due to the fact we wanted a lot of outdoor living space.  Sharon and Rob plan on doing quite a bit of Camp Dutch Oven cooking this week, practicing for the CDO achievement badges.  

But supper tonight was something really over the top.  Rob fixed pimento cheese burgers on the grill.  They were sure yummy!!

And it was a lot of fun watching Cousin Sharon fixing her burger just the way she likes it.....

Yup that's right, potato chips on the burger.  Add to those out of this world burgers, Sharon's delicious pasta salad, and our first camping meal of the week was a rousing success.

Well that's about it for this evening.  Right now in the dome, Sharon and Rob are blogging and Trisha is snoring.  So it's gotta be true....The Dome is Home.
