We met up with Cousin Sharon and Splash T@B in Newton about 10 this morning. The next few hours we traveled on interstate, federal and state highways, the BlueRidge Parkway, and finally a little road that took us the the end of the world where we turned left!
This is a nice little county owned campground on the banks of the Toe River. There are quite a few seasonal campers here, but they all seem to be somewhere else this week. We're camped right next to cousin Sharon....
In fact right now, Cousin Sharon is setting next to me on the front porch of the camp store writing her blog. You see, cell service is very scarce around here, so we're using the campgrounds free wi-fi connection. Here's a picture of the camp store where we are sitting....
After setting up camp, sitting around chatting, and eating a snack, Trisha stayed at the campsite working on her knitting, while Sharon and Rob walked around the campground and took a few pictures. Here are just a few of the pictures Rob took....
One neat thing about this trip is Anastasia and Pi are getting to chat too...
Supper with grilled sausage grinders with the all the fixings, and corn chips with salsa and melted cheese dip. Yum!
At this point, we're not sure the what the plan is for tomorrow. so be sure to check back and see what adventures we get into. We've even got a surprise trip planned!!
Until next time, stay safe out there......-R & T. (J is home with grandma)
