Happy Monday everyone! Today was a big day for us. It was Rob's last day of work before summer break. Also, Rob received an email from new Pod People who are coming to the Rally. This makes 17 camping units in all. Trisha is working one more day then her summer break starts.
If you remember all the way back to the 2012 Rally in Kentucky, MoosePod, furpod, and R&T's Pod had some fun with lights.
Here's a couple of pictures to re-fresh your memory.
Pretty neat huh? We know some people don't like this sort of stuff, but at a Rally, it can be fun to have your camper all lit up at dusk.
The owners (Travis, Mark, and Rob) have been chatting back and forth all winter about adding ground effect lights to the Pods. So this weekend, Rob did just that to our Pod. He used a 30' rope-light Trisha bought at Big Lots, plus some nylon clips, washers, and screws from Lowes to do the install.
Here's the hardware on display on the tailgate of Truck, prior to the install.
Below is a close up of the nylon clip Rob used. It is the 1/2" size.
Below you can see the rope light installed and working.
Finally here's a picture on the edge of dark. While they look bright in the picture, in real life, they provide just the right amount of lighting.
Tomorrow we will be busy getting the final odds and ends ready for the Rally. This includes the cooler, groceries, clothes, etc. You know the drill. Thanks for checking by today. Our next post will be from Raccoon Holler on Wednesday evening.
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,&J.
