The Un-Camping Trip Report......

If you have checked on our "Upcoming Trips" page you will see that we were planning on going camping this weekend.  Well, severe storms were in the forecast Friday afternoon and evening, although the forecast for the weekend was to be perfect.  So not wanting to travel and set up in bad weather, we opted to stay home.

Sure enough we had bad storms Friday as predicted and of course the  weather for the weekend was perfect.  Trisha "un-camped" by going to get a pedicure.  Rob spent the day in the yard weeding, trimming, pruning, and spraying Round-up.  Here's a picture of Rob's brush pile for the town to pick up on Monday.

We also did a little work to our bottle tree we have started.  Rob made this one from some re-purposed lumber he had stored away.  He said he didn't want to spent too much money on one of the fancy ones.

This bottle tree is a work-in-progress, and will hold as many bottles as we want it too.  Later in the afternoon, while Rob hooked up the satellite TV for the pod,  Trisha painted a little ornamental bird house to mount on a mailbox post in one of Rob's flowerbeds.

Next here's a shot of the Pod and our satellite dish set up in the backyard.  Rob plans on spending Sunday afternoon sitting in the shade reading his nook "down by the pod."

And here's a picture of the "hole" in the trees Rob has to sight the satellite dish through.

This was a fun "un-camping" weekend.  We got a lot of stuff done, and the best part is only FIVE MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL!!!

Check back soon, until then stay safe out there....-R,T,&J.
