Finally....We Be Camping, 2014 edition....

Happy Friday everyone!!  Well we finally kicked off the 2014 camping season today.

But before we go any farther, click over to Cousin Sharon's Postcards Blog to read about her past few days.  She tripped on a crack in the sidewalk of life, but with all of our thoughts and prayers she's going to be just fine!

Rob, Jackson, and Pod left this morning for Sesquicentennial State Park in Columbia, SC for a weekend of camping.  Trisha drove down after work today.  There are several T@B friends, a Roadtrek, and of course R&T's-Pod!!

Tomorrow Cousins Sharon and Becky along with 2/3rds of the Schnauzer Herd will drive down for a cook-out and visit.

Rob did manage to take two pictures today.

After setting up camp and visiting a bit, Rob and Jackson went on a long walk then came back to camp for a nice nap.  After which they helped on of the T@BBers's back her camper into her campsite.

After Trisha rolled in, we made a quick trip to the grocery store for a few supplies, then it was Chef Salads for supper and baths for all of us.  It's on the dusty side here, plus the pines are in full pollen.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Be sure to come back tomorrow, Rob should actually take some pictures.

Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,&J.

Pod & Truck Are Getting Ready......

Hey guys!  It's Pod & Truck here today.  We're doing a joint blog posting for Rob.  We are both excited, because after an ice storm on Friday morning, we've had two beautiful warm sunny days in a row!  Not to mention our people set their clocks forward one hour which always means a camping trip is not too far in the future.

We're both getting ready for the new camping season.  Trips are planned and there are some trips we'll make this season no one has even thought about yet.  Truck was the first to get something new, that being new tires this past week.

Truck was incredibly excited to get them, if fact that's all I've heard since about Wednesday of this past week.  Truck doesn't say much when anyone is around, but can be a right jabber-box when it's just us two!

Trisha, Rob's mom, Jackson, and Rob loaded up in CR-V and took a trip to Camping World earlier today.  They came home with two items just for me.

One of the two being a new Oxygenics shower head set for my wet bath.

Rob said they had been wanting to try one for the longest time, so decided today would be the day.  He told me the installation was straight forward. In fact his words were something to the effect it took longer to un-package it than it did to install it.

Here's a picture of it installed in my wet bath.  I think it looks very impressive.

Trisha walked down to my pod-port to check it out and said she is looking forward to trying it out.

The other item I got wasn't nearly so glamorous, but Rob said it will make dumping my tanks much easier.

It's an under camper mounted sewer hose carrier.  Rob says this will work much better than the little short factory one on my tongue.   He told me it is much easier to access, and frees up some storage space too.

Rob did take some pictures of the install process, and said he make make a blog post one day this week.  So be on the lookout for his post.

That's about it for today!!  Check back soon for our next post. Thanks for dropping by today.

Until next time, stay safe out there.....-Pod & Truck.

Snow, Snow, Go Away, R&T's-Pod Want's to Play......

Well OK, not play but more specifically go camping!!  Hiya folks, Pod here today taking over the blogging duties on this cold sunny Sunday morning.

I know Rob posted a picture of me the other day all cold and huddled up in the snow, well I have a new picture of me I just had to share with you.

See, Cousin Sharon (mom to Splash and Cup), has this new app, I'm not sure what an app is exactly, but this one just rocks.  She found her favorite picture of me, and with the aid of this rocking app, turned me into an awesome watercolor painting.

You'v just got to check this out.....

Isn't this just awesome!! I just love it.

Anyways, Cousins Sharon and Becky are off to sunny Florida tomorrow on another big adventure.  Be sure to check her Postcards blog, for daily updates of their trip!!

Until next time, stay safe out there....-Pod!

OK, So Now We Have A Snow WEEK....UGH!!!!

Happy Thursday everyone!  Here in our neck of the woods, the snow started flying about 11:30 yesterday morning, stopped about dark, then a healthy layer of sleet fell, and now once again, it's snowing.  UGH.  We are living in a beautiful winter scene here in North Carolina...

No school Wednesday, Thursday, and most certainly Friday.  Hence the title of this post, Snow WEEK!  We are pretty sure this is our spring break this week.

Along with us, both Pod and Truck hopes everyone stays safe as this storm passes.  Not to mention we are all ready for Spring here...

Until next time stay safe (and warm) out there.....-R,T,&J.

Yes!!! Today IS a SNOW DAY!!!!!

No two words can instantly bring about a range of emotions for students, their parents, and teachers as the two little words, "SNOW DAY."  Coupled with the fact that the make-up day for this little holiday is Saturday, and you instantly have a love-hate relationship on the horizon.

Yes, the recent winter storm gave us not only a snow day, but a day of school on Saturday.  We'll survive it I am sure, but we're not so sure how much actual learning will take place on this particular Saturday.

Rob was out early to take some pictures, and here's a few of them.....

Have a great day!!!  Be careful if your out and about.

Until next time, stay safe out there......-R,T,&J!

A Sign To Plan Ahead.....

Happy Tuesday everyone.  Yesterday was a school holiday for us here in North Carolina.  Trisha spent the day at the hospital with her mom Anne, who had to get another chemo treatment.  Rob spend the morning at the Endodontist, having a twenty year old root canal retreated.  Such fun.  NOT!!

Today and tomorrow are teacher workdays for us (semester break.)  Trisha opted to work, Rob opted not to.  So this morning after taking Trisha to breakfast, Rob struck out to Statesville to a couple of places (one of which was Camping World) he wanted to go.

At one of the stores, as he was leaving he spied this sign.  Yes a sign, and we know Rob loves signs.  This sign was only $2.00, and it made Rob think about camping fun.  Specifically, Blue Ridge Rally Camping Fun.  Here's a picture of that wonderful sign......

You see, for any of you who've never been to a Blue Ridge Rally, Cornhole has become a tradition.  Heck at most any of Cousin Sharon's camping "to-do's" you will find a game of Cornhole going on.  So Rob just had to have this sign!!

Oh and by the way, in other unrelated to camping at all bit of news, as of last Thursday we have a bright shiny new 3-ton A/C and furnace installed here at our house.  Double UGH!!

Hang in there everyone, camping season is just around the corner.

Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,&J.

A Sign of The Times......

Well Happy January everyone!!  As if January is a happy month, what with taxes, New Year's resolutions, cold, rain, snow, etc.  It is the month when us bloggers really have to struggle to find things to blog about.

If you would happen to jump over to Cousin Sharon's Postcards Blog (click on the link in the sidebar), you'll see what I'm talking about.  She's become so bored, stir crazy, house hoppy, she has started organizing everything!!  Well we're here to tell you Rob has done the same thing to his shop!!  Oh for warmer weather.  Now we won't bore you with pictures of Rob's shop, but Rob wanted to share some pictures of signs from this past season.

He loves signs.  He says they remind him of places visited during better weather.  Plus it's also fun to see if you can figure out where the signs are from.

Well that's enough for now.  Most of these are easy to identify, a couple maybe not.  Rob says we have to save some for February.  Ugh, February.    At any rate, thanks for checking by today!

Until next time, stay safe out there......-R,T,&J.
