It is Friday evening here at Beech Fork State Park. Tonight's post will be to catch you up on our activities. Well, to be honest, a lot of our activity was indeed just catching up. Catching up with family, old friends, not so old friends, and friends we didn't even know we had just yet.
One of the things we had to take care of Thursday was our lack of connectivity here at the campground. The cell service here is great for AT&T, but non-existent for Verizon. The wi-fi at the park office is good, but you have to be at the park office to catch the signal. So Mark (furpod), Trisha, and Rob loaded up in Truck drove to the local Wal-Mart so Rob could buy an AT&T Go Phone.
With the situation with both of our parents, we just had to be able to be reached in case of an emergency.
Most of our fun activities up to this point have revolved around the cooking and eating of food. Cousin Sharon and Rob pulled out the Camp Dutch Ovens and fixed supper last night, along with some contributions from Cousin Becky and Mark (furpod) too!!
Rob stacked dutch ovens to fix ribs which were awesome, while Sharon fixed Pineapple Dr. Pepper Baked Beans which were also just way too good to eat. Not to worry though, we ate them anyway.
Our after supper activities included just sitting around chatting until about 10 pm when it was off to bed. And wouldn't you know it, Friday mornings activities involved more eating and catching up.
Breakfast and three new pods to tour were all curtesy of the local r-Pod dealer. The three new models on display were a 178, 179 and the all new 183G.
After breakfast, it was more catching up time with podding friends at both the campsite and across the road at Moosepod's site.
All this fun takes us up to early Friday afternoon. This is where we'll stop for now. Be sure to check back with us tomorrow to hear about our fun.
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,&J.
