Yup, that's right. Today is Jackson's (J-doggie's) birthday. He is five years old. Wow, doesn't seem that long ago does it. Pod here today doing the blogging chores. Trisha has run into town for a Wally World trip, Rob is just resting. Seems he has this yucky sinus infection which kept him up until the small hours of the morning so he's just laying low enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
I sure hope everyone is enjoying the Memorial Day weekend. I know I sure am. My people slept late this morning. In fact, here's a picture of the sun coming up over me this morning.
After everyone was up and stirring, they all loaded up in Truck and were off to Lowes and Pet Smart. Jackson loves both of these stores because he gets to go inside. Lowes was just a quick trip to pick up a few things for the house.
Pet smart on the other hand was all about Jackson. He got a new halter and matching leash, squeaky toy, brush, shampoo, and poop bags (yuck).
Jackson really likes his new halter. Here's a picture of him modeling it beside his new squeaky toy. He's such a lucky dog!! (hehe)
I want to think everyone for checking by today to catch up on our activities. It's been a quite day around camp, but I think my people needed just that.
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-Pod -- for R,T&J.

Memorial Day Weekend Kick-off.....
Happy Friday evening everyone!! We be camping again!! We're at Ft. Hamby COE Campground on W. Kerr Scott Reservoir in N. Wilkesboro, NC.
How fitting it is to be camping over Memorial Day Weekend at an U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Campground. We booked this site not quite two weeks ago. It was the last site with hook ups we could find anywhere in a 100 mile radius.
We weren't sure why it wasn't reserved, so we figured something was wrong with it. Turns out it's a great site, on the side of a hill over looking the lake. It's just "backwards" which makes it kinda scary to begin with, but allows us to be turned facing the lake.
We'll be sure to post some pictures tomorrow. For tonight here's a pic of Pod all lit up for the evening.
Thanks for checking by this evening for this quick post. More news tomorrow.
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,&J.

Just Pod Blogging on a Saturday.....
Happy Saturday afternoon everyone. It's Pod here today doing some blogging. Rob's been busy in the yard all day, so I decided it was time to hit the "refresh" button and update the look of my blog.
Also, if you check out the 2014 Trips page, you'll discover I have 8 trips scheduled for this year. I've been on 3 so far, so that leaves 5 to go. I just bet there'll be a few more to round out the camping season.
Just think, new tires, lots of camping, baths, a new custom tire cover, my friend Truck to pull me all over the place, and several other modifications/upgrades you don't even know about just yet. Wow! What a lucky Pod I am. So with no pictures to post today, I just sneaked on over to Rob's Smilebox account and made a collage of what else? Me, of course!! Enjoy.....
Thanks for checking by today.
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-Pod

Pod's Getting Ready for Summer.....
Happy Saturday everyone. Pod here today doing the blogging. I sure hope everyone has had a great weekend so far. I'm starting my fifth season of Podding with Rob and Trisha, so I've been whispering in Rob's ear about maybe needing new tires.
You see the tire on my left side hasn't worn evenly, and was starting to show a lot of wear on the inside. Rob agreed that I needed new tires before we went on our big Kentucky Trip to the ERU, so this morning, he hitched me up to truck and off to the tire store we went.
While Rob knew about the issue with the one tire, he didn't know I had a problem with the other tire. You see, a piece of tread about the size of Rob's had was just plain missing from this tire. Rob wasn't sure if it was from cupping (what the tire store guy said), or from being knocked off somewhere on the road. But anyway, now I'm good to go.
Rob also bought some cleaner, and then he cleaned and polished both of my fenders.
Here's a picture of one of the fenders half done....
Here's a picture of the same fender completely done, and my new tire too.....
Gosh, I just loved being all spiffed up and the center of attention!!
Thanks for checking by today. I think I hear Rob and Jackson coming back from a walk, so I'd better go for now.

Look At All Those Cute Little Trailers.....
Happy Saturday everyone from here at the 7th Blue Ridge T@B Rally at Raccoon Holler Campground in Glendale Springs, NC.
The weather has been perfect, the food has been great, it's been fun giving tours of Pod, talking with fellow campers no matter what type of camper they use, and in general just relaxing.
Friday consisted of some shopping in West Jefferson, grilling burgers for lunch, Happy Hour with the "Streamers" and some awesome ribs cooked up by Chef Pete (with just a little assistance from his wife Beth!)
You can tell by the look on his face, Pete was so proud of his new apron!!
It's been a busy day so far. Rob fixed ham and cheese omelets for breakfast, and then took a few pictures.
Here's a picture of a my-pod....
One of the 'streamers pulling out early this morning....
An important Cornhole match from Friday....
In general a lot of people having a lot of fun in the outdoors. This evening is the pot luck, followed we hope by a nice sunset drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Have a great weekend everyone, we're leaving for home tomorrow.
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,but no J.

Pod Be Representin'.....
Happy Thursday from Raccoon Holler Campground in Glendale Springs, NC. We're back for our 7th Blue Ridge T@B Rally.
This is the camping rally cousin Sharon has hosted now for seven years. Be sure to follow the link to the right for her Postcard's blog to read all about the fun so far this week. Cousin Sharon does a great job of organizing this rally, and it's become a highlight of our camping season.
Rob and Pod arrived about 11ish this morning, with Trisha arriving in time for supper. The weather is perfect for camping, and with lots of camping buddies both old and new, we're sure to have a great couple of days.
As the title says, R&T's-Pod is doing a great job of representing the r-pod family here with all these T@Bs, T@DAs, a few 'Streams, and even one or two other types of campers we've not seen yet!
Here's a couple of pictures.....
Thanks for checking by today. We're not sure what tomorrow has in store, but for happy hour, since we're the only pod, we've been invited to hang with the 'Streamers. Will be fun!!
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T, but no J (grandma sitting again!)
