Happy Thursday everyone, it's Miss Anne here today and have I got a story for you. I'm so excited I can hardly type!!!
Lemme start at the beginning. When I came to live with the Mr. and Mrs., I had to park in front of the Podport were Pod had lived. (Pod was the camper the Mr. and Mrs. had before me.) You see Pod's Podport was great, but just a bit too short for me.
A few weeks later, the Mr. moved me one afternoon and several people and something called a Bobcat moved the Podport right next door. Then the Mr. parked me where the Podport used to be and that's where I've spent my time between trips.
Well yesterday, the Mr. hitched me up and parked me right besides the old Podport next door. He didn't tell me what was going on, but I knew something was up, but I just had no idea.
Well this morning about 10 o'clock, the Mr. and Levi pulled up right behind this crew of installers, and in no time flat, the crew was unloading, running drop cords, etc., while the Mr. and the crew boss discussed something big.
It seems the Mr. and Mrs. had decided I needed my very own house to live in!! As I sat there at watched, in about 90 minutes, I did indeed have my very own house.
Now the Mr. took quite of few pictures, all with his iPhone thing, so I thought I'd post several of them so you could see my home being built.
Now these pictures aren't in any particular order, because that seemed like too much work, haha, but I think you get the general idea.
The big question on my mind, was would I fit in my new home. I sat there the entire time it was being built wondering. Just as soon as the install crew left, the Mr. hooked me up to Levi and we all proceeded to find out. I sure hoped the Mr. had done a good job of ciphering!!
Would I fit? Well it seems I did with room to spare. Whew!! At any rate, I look right at home in my new place!! I think I'm gonna like it here a lot.
Well that's my big news for today. I sure hope everyone has a great weekend, and I'll be back soon I'm sure. Thanks for dropping by and as always....
Until next time, stay safe out there.....Miss Anne
Happy Friday afternoon all. We're back home from The Holler after another great week in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
We've not blogged that much simply because we didn't really do so very much this week. This week was all about "downtime" as we're now beginning to gear up for the new school year.
We ate, slept, read, napped, ate some more, with a little sight seeing thrown in for good measure. In fact, we went and scouted out a campground we've not camped at in several years.
And of course no week in The Holler is complete without a few rides along the BRP (Blue Ridge Parkway.)
Let's wrap this up today. We may slip off one more time for a couple nights if we can squeeze it into the schedule for the next couple weeks. As always......
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,&J.
Good morning to everyone. It's Miss Anne here this morning with the blogging duties. Today is the first day of the month, and Mr. R is busy with a second side job he has, and so I just swiped his computer and I'll make todays blog post!
The Mr. and Mrs. have been talking ever since I came to live with them about a big trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, or OBX for short. They've told me all about the area, and about how they've been looking forward to this trip for an entire year. They even had me excited too!!
So we pulled out not so early on Sunday morning, in fact, it was nearly midday. We travelled on roads that look vaguely familiar, (remember, I've not travelled much of anywhere yet), and before long we where back at a campground I've already been to twice. Could Raccoon Holler also be the beach?? Seems odd to me.....
Well in short order, the Mr. and Mrs. had me all set up, and we were all enjoying the cool breeze. But, and I mean but wait, this looks like a place called the mountains. Could this also be the beach? Or, did Mr. R take a wrong turn somewhere?
I just had to find out, so I asked Mr. R when Mrs. T wasn't around. It seems they had to cancel the trip to OBX due to a major power outage and a mandatory evacuation of the islands as a result. So Mr. R called Raccoon Holler and was able to get us a site up here for a week. Mystery solved!!!
So now we're enjoying the cool mountain breezes instead of the warm ocean breezes. Mr. R told me not to worry though, we'd get down to the coast before the year was out.
The Mr. and Mrs. haven't done a lot the last day or so. A grocery store and dollar store trip have been about it. They've cooked, read, and relaxed.
Mr. R worked last week to make a counter top for my rear platform, and he's made himself a nice outdoor cooking area. I think he really likes to cook when camping.
They even managed an evening BRP (that's Blue Ridge Parkway) drive after supper Monday. They saw quite a few deer, and even four "teenaged" calves as Mr. R said who had escaped their pasture and were up to no good along the BRP.
Well I'd best get off of here, Mr. R may be needing his computer in just a bit. Thanks for reading my blog post today and as Mr. R always says...
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-Miss Anne
