Happy Tuesday evening everyone. Wow! What a busy couple of days we've had here. First of all, the weather has been great! That may change, but that's ok too.
The last two days have included, sight-seeing, driving by the Gay Dolphin, a Myrtle Beach landmark, a visit to Murrells Inlet Seafood, Trisha breaking a crown, Rob's trusty Nikon Model D60 deciding to half-die, visiting Camping World, the Hammocks Shop at Pawley's Island, t-shirt and sticker shopping, cooking and eating way too much food, and in general acting like we're on a great vacation. Not to mention Mark and Rob cooking desserts for supper in their Camping Dutch Ovens and earning even more patches for their CDO aprons. We won't even talk about Mark and Rob helping former pod friend Kevin take down the awning on his camper destroyed this morning by a wind gust.
Since Rob's Nikon decided to only kinda work, he's been using his iPhone to take pictures. So, he just hasn't taken as many pictures as normal, nor are the pictures as good or so at least Rob thinks.
Here are a few pictures of the last two days, in no particular order. See if you can guess what we were doing, or not doing.
Thanks for checking by today. We've had crock pots going all day for dinner, but we ate a lunch that was just a little huge so I'm not sure what we will do for dinner.
Until next time, stay safe out there......-R,T,&J.

A Three Dog Day......
Greeting from the coast of South Carolina. We're camping this week with friends Susie and Mark of furpod fame, and friend Kevin (a former Podder) here at Huntington Beach State Park.
We all left home Saturday morning about 11:00 a.m., had a great drive down, and arrived here about 3:30 p.m. Check-in was quick and painless, and the next hour or so was spent setting up camp.
We all loaded up in Levi along with a former Podder friend Kevin and stuck out for supper. We wound up at Five Guys Burger and Fries, mainly because the Inlet Crab House had a 30-40 minute wait.
When we got back from supper, the moon was putting on a show for us.
Some of the crew went to bed at a normal time, a couple of us stayed up till nearly midnight chatting, but we all had a great evening.
Today (Sunday), included a breakfast under the Cottonwood of eggs, bacon, and biscuits. Followed by a trip out of Murrells Inlet Seafood to grab some goodies for supper.
The rest of the day can best be classified as a "Three Dog Day."
That is to say, our day was largely spent watching the dogs, petting the dogs, walking the dogs, and even a nap for one or two of the dog's people.
So far it's been a great day here. Be sure to check back tomorrow to see what's been going on at the coast.
Until next time, stay safe out there.....-R,T,&J.

Pod Butts You Betcha......
Happy Saturday morning everyone!! It is indeed a very happy day for us, because we're camping. As all of our family and friends know, since the last camping trip, life just fell all over us. That's why we've not blogged since early in September, but never fear, for we're back now.
You're most likely asking what does a Pod Butt have to do with anything? Well it was the beautiful sight we saw last night as Rob fixed Taco Pie for supper and we enjoyed the crisp beautiful evening at Arrowhead Campground, located in the Uwharrie National Forest, just outside of scenic Eldorado, NC. Just check it out.....
Isn't that just a beautiful sight to behold! And to be fair to Pod who isn't too crazy at all about this picture, we'll include a picture of our entire campsite which Rob took this morning. Not too bad at all.
This is a great little NFS campground only about 40 miles from home. It only has electric hook-ups, but the bath house is very nice. The campground is nearly full this weekend too. Seems that off-roading, mudding, shooting, and horse-back riding are all popular around these parts.
After our taco pie for supper, we settled in for a quiet evening.
Thanks for checking by today to catch up with us. We'll try to post again tonight to let everyone know about our adventures today. It's great to see everyone again today, and as always.....

A Little Camping Magic.....
Happy Sunday afternoon everyone. No matter where you are, we hope you're having a great day and a great weekend. We're camping at Honey Bear Campground in Boone, NC. This has been a great weekend camping.
Our take on this campground is it is nice, but does have a few issues.
All the staffers here have been very nice to us. That campground has been filled with mostly young families, in tents, pop-ups, and smaller trailers, with the occasional motor home. The sites are for the most part nice, shaded, and the lay-out of the campground is good considering the hilly terrain for these parts. In short, it is what you would expect.
There's lots to do here for the kids which is good, because this weekend, there are a lot of kids here, which is a good thing too!!
On the down side, we've experienced power issues. Our surge guard has tripped out numerous times over the weekend, this morning being especially bad. Rob did post about this over on Facebook, someone from the campground posted back asking our site number (guess they couldn't look it up), and they'd like to check "your breakers, etc to see if we can determine the issues at your site causing your trouble." We waited about an hour, then left to do some site seeing for a couple of hours. As of this posting, we've seen no one. But we will say the problem seemed to lessen shortly after Rob's posting of the issue.
Additionally we noticed the dump station is oriented for trailers entering the campground, not leaving. This is no biggie, as Rob will simply use the tote tank in the morning to drop the grey water tank.
Otherwise, we've enjoyed our time here so far. Yesterday evening for supper, we rode to the local BBQ restaurant. Rob had the pulled pork, and Trisha had the BBQ chicken. Both were good.
After supper, we came back to the campground, took a long walk, relaxed, watched a movie, and were off to bed a little early.
This morning Rob fixed a breakfast casserole in the 10" CDO so he could earn his September CDO Challenge patch.
Later we did take a little ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway, but with this being a holiday weekend and all, the traffic was just too heavy to take it slow, and so we didn't even stop to take a picture (like we needed just one more picture of the BRP.)
Then it was back to the camper to make phone calls and texts to catch up with family after being gone for two nights.
So where exactly does the camping magic come into all of this fun you ask?? Well just keep reading to find out.
One of the things that struck Rob as he has walked around the campground is all of the magical little spots. He said you can almost imaging little families of mystical beings (elves, trolls, gnomes, etc.) living in the campground and only coming out after everyone leaves and all is quiet.
Well that's about it for this post. Thanks to all for checking by once again. Tomorrow it's home, and due to family issues, we're keeping our camping calendar clear for the next month or so.
